About Rock The Plan(e)

The Story Behind the Name: Why Rock The Plan(e).

Every venture starts with an idea. For Rock The Plan(e), it started with a song. The inspiration came from the 1973 disco classic “Rock the Boat” — a reminder that real progress begins when you dare to shake what feels stable.

The name is closely connected to the journey of Tim Van den Bergh, founder of Rock The Plan(e). Boats were never really his thing — seasickness doesn’t help. Planes, however, have been a constant throughout his career. With more than a thousand flights behind him, travel has shaped Tim’s perspective — connecting people, brands, and ideas across borders.

So the boat became a plane.

And that small “(e)” makes all the difference.

Plane becomes plan — a nod to rethinking business plans, challenging assumptions, and daring to take off in new directions.

Rock The Plan(e) reflects both Tim’s personal journey and our way of working: finding rhythm, building momentum, and never being afraid to rock the plan.

Because sometimes it’s good to shake things up.

Or simply — to get things done.
